Christmas is coming...
THERE really is something for everyone this Christmas! We, the town council, value tradition in Newton Abbot and this year is no exception. The town will be buzzing with its three Late Night Shopping Wednesdays that will include the Victorian Evening on December 5. We always give the most important job of switching on the
Christmas lights – to a most important person – Father Christmas himself. He takes an evening off from his busy schedule and makes the long trip to Newton Abbot just to make sure that the festive season gets properly under way.
Father Christmas at the Clock Tower
Children are invited to visit Father Christmas in his Clock Tower grotto on Wednesday late night shopping evenings and selected December Saturdays. There is an opportunity for a chat and to receive a bag of sweets. A suggested £1 contribution per child is welcomed with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s charities which, this year, are Dyrons Journal Talking Newspaper and Street Pastors, Newton Abbot.
Check the town council website to confirm dates and times. Town Centre Opening Hours
