Experts technicians at work at the Morgan Motor Company


The company has recently announced record profitability and growth. What have you been doing right? We have been focusing on the basics to ensure all areas of our business are efficient, cost effective and controlled, while also delivering the highest quality of product and service to our customers. By doing this we have been able to improve Morgan’s cashflow and budget effectively in order to invest and grow the business for the future.


You were promoted to group financial director at the beginning of this year. How are you approaching your new role? I will continue to focus and support the Morgan Group to ensure we are running as cost effectively and efficiently as possible. I will also be reviewing future investment opportunities in people, products and our infrastructure. The aim of this is to continue to create a stable base for the Morgan group to operate from, allowing us to make the most of

exciting opportunities across all facets of the business. These actions will help us to build on the Morgan experience, improve quality and continue to motivate and support all Morgan employees.

Can you tell us a little about your career development before joining Morgan? From school I worked and trained with Morgan’s previous auditors, Rabjohns – now Bishop Fleming. I was with this firm for around seven years where I gained experience in all areas of accounts, taxation and managing large company audits. During this time, I was exposed to various different types of businesses


sabbatical for eight months to travel the world and widen my horizons, which I gained some valuable life experiences. On my return I wanted a new challenge and an opening at Morgan found me.


What do you like about what you do? I like working with various people and organisations to utilise their expertise in order to help and support Morgan. Morgan is all about its people and family values, which builds trust within the business and makes Morgan a pleasure to work for.
