By Sherry Black. Because of a rain can-

cellation, the race for year end championships was even closer! As a result, sev- eral classes were determined at “The Finals”. The cattle were tough, but the veteran

horses and riders had some great runs. This year we had some people step up from the practices to the show pen. Congratulations to all of them! After the show, we had

our Annual General Meet-

ing and elections. As usual, our meeting ran like a well- oiled machine. Members were given a chance to voice their opinions and the elections went smoothly. One director, Tim Banick, has stepped down for a well-

deserved rest. A big thank you goes out to Tim for his dedication and all his hard work. He has done a great deal of the “behind the scenes” work over the last several years. Thank you, Tim and good fishing! We would like to welcome Mi- randa Kent as our newest di- rector.

Next of course were

our year end championship presentations. A big thank you goes out to Lynne Bowen, Shelley Hagan and Miranda Kent. These girls went out and acquired enough product sponsors that we were able to hand out awards down to fifth place and some very nice gifts they were! We are all about our membership. Look closely in the pictures to see the beautiful buckles the champions won this year! Our silent auction was lively and a big success. Once again, Mike and Cathy White put on an over-the- top pork tenderloin meal feeding about 50 people. We are very lucky to have so many great volunteers.
