WINING & DINING - FAWSLEY HALL REVIEW

After a very comfortable night’s sleep and fabulous breakfast – you can help yourself to a full fry-up, delicious fruit and fresh hot chocolate croissants or order something specific from a menu such as Eggs Benedict – it was time to head to the spa.

It’s hard to go anywhere at Fawsley Hall without wanting to snap a picture of furniture, paintings, architecture, grounds…the list goes on, but we made it to the spa boasting an indoor pool and beautiful bubbling outdoor Jacuzzi, which was perfect for relaxing in with the sun beating down whilst we waited for treatments. I chatted to one guest who said that she and her husband like to visit regularly for quality time together away from their business and she recommended a facial, which she said were “…very good here”. Great news, as I had opted for the Elemis Biotic Firm-A-Lift Facial.

Guided to a spacious, tranquil treatment room, my therapist explained the facial to me, which she advised could include a little pain (slight shocks from the equipment that was used to sculpt and lift the face). She used an intoxicating combination of Elemis products including rose, then lifting citrus aromas and the facial itself was more tingling than painful, but oh so worth it. My skin was lifted and glowing and my eye brows were certainly higher up my forehead!!! The therapist explained that the treatment was a great way of maintaining the jawline and contours of the face and I had to agree.

I loved the fact that the contemporary spa was set aside from the hotel, like a world within a world and it’s a contrast from the décor of the hotel. For those who want to continue the goodness at home, the spa shops sells the products used within the treatments – that’s if you can drag yourself away from the loungers and comfy sofas by the outdoor jacuzzi which were so inviting I could have stayed there all day with papers and magazines – and very nearly did.

Fawsley Hall Hotel & Spa is perfect for so many of life’s events or happenings; a chilled night away, a foodie break, corporate function or wedding, it really does lend itself as the perfect partner to all. Heading back down the driveway I was super relaxed and refreshed, but terribly reluctant to leave my Capability Brown setting behind and vowed to return as I can imagine that bubbling outdoor jacuzzi would be even more inviting on the colder days and evenings….especially with a glass of something equally bubbly afterwards…
