MEMBERS’ MATTERS

to 6,375. These two months were the last to be priced at the old rates which had been the same for many years. Following the opening of the new Aircraft Factory and Flight Shed and other redevelopments at the end of last year all memberships are now being charged at the new rates and Club level members will find that they have a different colour card when they renew. This is to help identify Club level members at Museum premium events as they will no longer have to pay the surcharge that will still apply to other membership levels. Fast Track will continue with the speedier entry

for members on busy event days and we are pleased that David Brockington-Hill and Tara Warren have taken over the BTM entrance gazebo as from the Mini Day event. A big thank you to Steve Clarke who activated the Fast Track initiative but now needs to concentrate on the Members’ Bar! Talking of the Bar, you will see details in Steve’s

‘View from the Clubhouse’ column that things are changing there from 1st April with new menus and new levels of service all designed to enhance the Club level experience of Brooklands on both normal and event days. he first two months of the year saw membership increase by around two per cent

and dedication of members. Some 56 per cent of the attendance that day was down to members, including many in British classic cars. We had our BTM.tv on site that day, braving the cold as well, and you can see the results of their endeavours on our Vimeo Video Channel in a 30-minute programme featuring short interviews with drivers showing us their cars. There was another strong showing at the

February Classic Breakfast with nearly 45 per cent of the total attendance that day being members. It’s great to see you all at these off-season events which are often pretty cold and wet – there are reports on both those events elsewhere in this Bulletin.

Tim’s MGB GT LE ventured out of the garage for the Brooklands Breakfast – it went back in again straight afterwards! (Tim Morris).
