In 2020, the world’s oldest Passion Play takes the stage in the charming German village of Oberammergau, with performances from May - October.


In 1634 the villagers performed a Passion Play depicting the life and suffering of Jesus Christ in thanks for surviving the Plague. Locals have performed this solemn act of worship and devotion every decade since and it has grown into a must-see sell out event.
