Jessie’s Fund helps children with complex needs to communicate through music. Much of the work of Jessie’s Fund is with children in hospices, where music therapy can significantly enhance the quality of the precious time available. In special schools, our Soundtracks creative music projects enable children to participate, express themselves, and achieve beyond all expectations. Jessie’s Fund also works with children in hospitals, where music therapy can support them emotionally, enable physiotherapy to be more effective, reduce fear and isolation, and relieve pain.
Jessie’s Fund was established in memory of a bright and musical little girl who died from a brain tumour at the age of nine. Based in York, the charity works with children far and wide – from Exeter to Glasgow, from Cardiff to Belfast, and beyond.
Thank you to Association President Ann Acaster, for choosing Jessie’s Fund as the Inner Wheel charity for 2018 - 2019. Jessie’s Fund is delighted to have been selected: every single pound raised by members makes a difference and helps us to reach more children.
