Charles Wellmann, Conroe, was
feted with a retirement party June 16. He put in 38 years as ag teacher and re- tired from Magnolia High School. He’ll have lots more time for roping now!
Losses Junior Robertson, 87, Waurika,
OK, died May 20. He was a founding member of the American Paint Stock Horse Association, which became APHA. He was among the first in- ductees into APHA’s Hall of Fame in 2012. He was also a top-hand at rop- ing and a gold card carrying member of Rodeo Cowboys Association.
Dale Reeves, 54, Canyon, died
May 21. He had been quite active in the equine community there during his daughter Kayla’s riding career as a youth and in college at West Texas A&M University.
Gordon Bozant, 61, Magnolia,
died May 24. He loved horses and helping young people learn to raise and show horses. He owned Walnut Creek Ranch and traveled around the coun- try showing beautiful Quarter Horses and Paint.
died May 31. He was retired judge of the 217th District Court of Angelina County and had served in the judicial system for many years. He had served on the ACHA Board of Directors and volunteered his time and expertise to many organizations. w
