HELEN Barker opened her business, Sandlings, in June 2012. Having started in Aldeburgh, Helen made the decision to relocate to Leis- ton in 2015 and so is now celebrating her third year in the town and her sixth in total. Sandlings is a shop full of


surprises and offers shop- pers something a little bit different. Stocking any- thing from furniture to soaps and bath-bombs, and crystals to essential oils and


soya candles including a great mix of new and vin- tage items. Helen specialis- es in upcycling old furni- ture. Gathering stock from sales and auctions, she gives chairs, tables and any- thing else a new lease of life by turning them into desir- able items that would look great in any home. As a stockist of Autentico


paint, Helen has a fantastic range suitable for any appli- cation, and in just about any colour. Whether you are painting some indoor furni- ture or the garden shed, this is the place to come. The durable outdoor paints don’t need any preparation or finishing, and the egg- shell paint is great for many purposes, including UPVC and wood. There is also a range of metallic paints with silver, copper and gold finishes. Helen keeps a large selection of paint in stock, but can order in any- thing that you may want if it isn’t in the shop.
