Breeze through airport security this summer
I
f you’re among the millions of people travelling by air this summer, follow these tips from the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) and be- come an expert at getting through security screening
more efficiently. Know before you go Download the CATSA app. It has great features to help
you prepare for your trip such as: • A searchable What Can I Bring? list to find out if your items go in carry-on or checked baggage; • Travel checklists to ensure you don’t forget anything; • Current wait times at security checkpoints in Canada’s
largest airports; • Travel tips for all categories of travellers.
When you get to security • Have your boarding pass ready to present to the
screening officer. • Place coins, keys and all other small metal items in
your carry-on. • Remove your 1 litre bag of liquids, aerosols and gels
from your carry-on and place it in a bin. • Remove your laptop from its carrying case and place it in a bin with nothing on top of it. • Remove your spring coat and place it in a bin. • Pro tip: pack your bins neatly.
