immaculate manicured gardens nestled seductively in 123 acres of rustic, rolling, wooded parkland.

A

Winner of Residential Spa of the Year and part of the Exclusive Hotels and Venues portfolio, Pennyhill Park has been transformed into one of the most decadent wellness

and spa hotel destinations

in the UK. The Spa is vast building, seamlessly blending 45,000 square feet, over three floors of pure relaxation and boasts supreme

relaxation facilities

with eight heated outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Including state-of-the-art soothing underwater music, large outdoor hydrotherapy pool, several inviting hot tubs, Jacuzzis, herbal saunas and colour themed steam rooms. We were impressed by the myriad of natural and organic treatments designed to detox, cleanse, relax and indulge the body and senses. Best for escapism and pure indulgence. The Spa has the look and feel of a luxurious high-end alpine leisure resort. We felt peacefully blissed out and on holiday as the sun was out. All the guests are there to switch off and unwind, indicated by the sheer number of couples, families, friends and colleagues sun

bathing, sipping

champagne and mulling around the relaxation areas in their luxury white bath robes and Exclusive flip flops! It’s really no surprise why the England Rugby squad have chosen to live and train onsite here every 13 weeks! You can choose from one of two brand new spa packages, designed to cater to your every need, and they will do the rest so

you can sit back, relax and either “Detox or Retox!” Exclusive pride themselves on making their guests happy and creating the most amazing places to give us the best experiences. From the delicious food served in their luxury restaurants to the perfect pillows in the rooms, we found exceptional detail in the quality they offer and it was the little things they do or don’t do that differentiated them from the 5-star hotel stereotype.

We stayed one-night in one of the hotel’s gorgeous completely refurbished Cosy Rooms. Others in the main house overlook the grounds and a pretty gazebo used for weddings and events. Every room at Pennyhill is a sanctuary, individually themed and uniquely decorated with no two bathrooms or bedrooms the same. They have horizontal and double showers, ying yang baths and even double baths with integrated ice buckets in the middle. The Twickenham suite at Pennyhill even has a spa bath big enough for eight people! Our aptly named “Basil” room was light, bright and fresh, imaginatively designed over two floors with a loft style, white painted, beamed bedroom and

inducing bathroom complete with an invigorating rain bar power shower at every angle and flat screen TV. The lighting was both subtle and mood enhancing with desirable views over the alfresco gardens and pools. Pennyhill Park encourage making time for wellness with full use of their fantastic facilities including the state of the art Technogym at The Spa. We indulged in a 60-minute energising full body massage tailor-made to our own specific individual needs to ease our tired, overworked bodies

and leave us blissed out and stress-free! After our treatments, the relaxation areas are a must. The dark sensory lounge has the most heavenly gel beds, making it almost impossible to leave and the tranquillity of the quiet daylight room is perfect for some “me” time. After your beauty treatments or massage, it seems fitting to round-off the perfect day with dinner at one of the hotel’s luxury restaurants. The Latymer is a top gastronomic Michelin-starred restaurant under the eye of Head Chef Matt Worswick who has created a five, eight or 10-course fine dining tasting menu inspired by summers spent with his grandmother on the Isle of Man. After a delicious pre-dinner cocktail served with deluxe popcorn in the glamorous Ascot piano bar, where we were entertained by a lively jazz singer, we soaked up the ambiance at the relaxed but smart award- winning Brasserie for dinner. They have created an exciting new open kitchen in the dining room so we could see the chef cooking in front of our eyes which was a welcome touch! We recommend the scallops and fillet steak (locally sourced). Before checking out, be sure not to miss their incredible and hearty breakfast to finish off the perfect stay! If you’re looking for a place to make your own, Pennyhill Park also offer annual membership and can tailor it to your needs. It may be that you want more “me” time to swim lengths on your own in the pool, to book aerobic classes, swim, play golf or find a calming space to relax, unwind and pamper yourself with regular treatments. Whatever your reason, their individual spa membership is sure to suit you.
