GRAPE & GRAIN FESTIVAL 10am - 6pm
Your favourite Ripley Farmers Market but with an added bonus of a drinks festival for 2018! It will be a day of tipples, tastings and titbits for you to eat & drink on the green or take away. Come to sample some of the finest local beer, spirits and wines alongside fabulous food from your Farmers Market. Our local restaurants will also be there to show off their delicious food so come and check out their samples and see their demonstrations. The Silent Pool inflatable bar will be there again with gin & tonics and the Ripley Rocker cocktail. Breweries big and small with be there with their beers and there’s local cider, spirits, wine and sparkling to try too. And everything sold there is local!
GREYFRIARS is situated on the south facing chalk slopes of the Hog’s Back just outside Guildford. Mike and Hilary Wagstaff took over Greyfriars in 2010 with the aim of expanding the original vineyard planted in 1989 from one and a half acres to become a commercial scale sparkling wine producer reflecting the unique local geology, climate and heritage of the Surrey North Downs. Since then we have expanded to a total of 40 acres under vines on two sites. In 2017 we completed our seventh vintage producing over 70,000 bottles. Greyfriars also now has a state of the art winery and a storage ‘cave’ in the chalk slopes of the Hog’s Back.

MEWS GIN
Father and son business, Mews Gin Company produce a high quality, carefully crafted gin in small batches in East Horsley. All our gin is bottled, waxed and labelled by hand in our premium Italian glass bottles. Our copper still “Betty” was made in Surrey and vapour distils a carefully chosen blend of 11 different botanicals (including Pink Peppercorns, Lavender and Cubebs) to create a gin with a subtle and delicate style; the ideal gin to have over lunch on a warm summer’s day.
