Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center National Harbor, MD

Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center will be reno- vating its 1,996 guest rooms and suites at the end of 2018 as part of its 10th anniversary. The project follows its 2017 expan- sion, which added the resort’s freestanding waterfront venue, RiverView Ballroom, bringing its combined meeting space total to more than 600,000-square feet.

The resort’s signature restaurant, Old Hickory Steakhouse, also will undergo a transformation in August 2018. The restau- rant concept introduces a fresh, new look with linenless tables, an expanded bar area, and new layout to optimize private dining space while maintaining its sophisticated cui- sine with 1855-brand Black Angus beef, artisanal cheeses, world-class wines and handcrafted cocktails.

Main Event Columbia Columbia, MD

After opening a new location in Newark, DE in March 2018, Main Event Entertainment - the nation’s fastest growing bowl- ing anchored dining and entertainment destination - has now opened its first Maryland center in Columbia on May 8, 2018. Located at The Mall at Columbia, this 50,000-square foot center features 22 state-of-the-art bowling lanes with unique technology and luxury seating, laser tag, billiards, shuffle- board, and a games gallery with over 120 of the latest games.

“We are excited to expand into Maryland and to introduce our one-of-a-kind brand to everyone in the Columbia area,” said Darin Harper, CFO of Main Event Entertainment. “There’s nothing like Main Event in Maryland, and we have found the perfect location in The Mall at Columbia for its debut. We are extremely proud to be growing and we can’t wait to show off our unique combination of food and fun to everyone in the surrounding area.”

In addition, Main Event has been consistently ranked the “best place for parties” thanks to its distinctive “Eat. Bowl. Play.” experience. And whether seeking chef-inspired food with shareables like wings, loaded nachos or oven-baked artisan pizza in a full-service American-fare grill or handcrafted cock- tails in a high energy sports bar surrounded by big screen TVs, Main Event’s chefs and bartenders can do it all.

The center also offers fully equipped private meeting spaces with the latest audio-visual technology, full-service catering, free Wi-Fi and everything else essential to hosting corporate meetings, team building exercises, holiday parties and other gatherings both large and small.
