Skin scare Besides being an actor at the peak of his career, Jackman is a devoted family man and lives in New York with his wife Deborra-Lee Furness – an Australian actress – and their two adopted children, Oscar and Ava. It was Deborra-Lee who urged Jackman to have a problem with his nose checked out, which led to a diagnosis of skin cancer. That was back in 2013, and since then the actor has had six skin cancers – or basal cell carcinomas – removed from his nose. “Unfortunately it's something that I have a genetic


predisposition to,” he says. “I have English fair skin and it's pretty common in Australia. And all I can do is be vigilant,
