Trosley, andwill raise funds to help her parents copewith the devastat- ing news. “The response has been amaz-
ing,” Lisa (33) said. “We’ve already raised £36,000 since we started in January. “We are hoping to reach £50,000,
and this football match has turned into a really big event, sowe’re sure that we’re going to raise lots of money.

“Matt’s friends suggestedthe idea
of having amatch and it’s just gone from there. We’re so grateful to everyone.” Matt’s stepdad is former Sheffield
United, Leeds United, QPR and England midfielder Tony Currie, and hewill be presentingmedals on the big day. Themoneywill helpOlivia’s par-
ents pay for her treatment, buy sen- sory toys and adapt their home to make her life easier. The youngster suddenly lost her
sight in February, and underwent an operation in March, which it is hopedwill restore it.
“We’re still waiting to see if that
hasworked,” Lisa added. “The con- dition is potentially life-threatening and certainly life-limiting. “This is a rare form of tumour
that does not seem to have any known genetic cause in Olivia’s case, and is just something cruel that has happened for some awful horrifying reason and could happen to anybody at any age. “We have had to take Olivia out
of nursery – which she loved – and she cannot be looked after by a childminder as she needs one-to- one care. She will have many chal- lenging times ahead of her aswell.”
