It comes as no surprise


that Ontario Cutting Horse As- sociation directors Katherine and Eric Van Boekel took home champion titles at the NCHA Cutting held at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo this month. Eric Van Boekel, who is also the Area 21 Director, was the Champion of the 25,000 Novice Non Pro Riding Peppys Cashin Checks, while Katherine Van Boekel was Reserve Champion in the 5,000 Novice Non Pro riding Sweet EE Motion.

Ernie S. Wilson, a long-


standing director of the OCHA, was inducted into the Canadian Cutting Horse Hall of Fame this past February. Ernie has NCHA


earnings in excess of $54 000, held both Canadian and National Cutting Horse Association judg- ing cards, has served as OCHA president, owned the Canadian


Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame horse Sweet O Lena, and has raised over 100 cutting horses that have earned in excess of $370 000.
