Jianhui Paper in China has its trim processes optimised

Optimisation of the trimming was expected to be completed in December by Greycon on four paper machines operated by Jianhui Paper at its mill at Dongguan in southern China. In a project that started in July

last year, Greycon implemented its X-Trim system to bring a number of benefits to Jianhui Paper, one of China’s biggest pulp and paper manufacturers. Liu Mingwei, financial chief

at Jianhui Paper said: “We are looking forward to reaping the benefits of Greycon’s system. Greycon has made the

implementation process as easy as possible by integrating with our own ERP system. Greycon’s system will give us more time for business analysis and strategic thinking.” Benefits of Greycon’s X-Trim

system are said to include the reduction of trim waste, minimising pattern and knife changes and as a result improve Jianhui’s overall equipment efficiency. Stock to trim will significantly reduce the stock volume and cost, it is said. Meanwhile, X-Trim will minimise manual dependence and

operator faults during the trim process and improve customer service levels. Tian Jinlong at Greycon

commented: “X-Trim is integrated with Inspur ERP and can be fully localised to meet the needs of each machine. In general, the new automated and integrated system processes will provide Dongguan Jianhui Paper [with] the ability to focus over strategic and operative group improvement, increase industrious competitiveness and bring more time for business analysis and strategic thinking.”

ancillary equipment. A 100 per cent pure cellulose pulp preparation system, a reel- handling system and a three-ply slitter rewinder complete the equipment order.
