From Dotty’s Desk
How time passes when you are having fun! The real “fun” of the role of Association Editor is reading, reading and more reading. If I stopped for a cup of coffee every time a magazine or newsletter popped up in my inbox, I would achieve very little. So bedtime has become news time – that is news of what all the Inner Wheel Clubs are doing. I feel I have a little window into Club activities and I am amazed at the variety and scope of their doings.
As you read this, we will have put away the tinsel, taken down the decorations and perhaps gained a few extra pounds. The Bournemouth Conference will be on the horizon as will the Convention in Melbourne. Both provide a great opportunity to learn more about Inner Wheel but also to meet old and new friends.
With the Conference being held in March, there is a lot less time to organise pictures for the “big screen” in Bournemouth so can I ask you to get them in to me as soon as possible? Some people wanted to know if the screen-saver picture on my computer last time was MY cat. No – Squeek belongs to a friend. This time the dog in the picture is my boy, Teddie.
I hope you will enjoy the Spring magazine in which I have tried to provide a mix of personal achievement stories with news of club and district events. We also touch on much more serious issues to provide food for thought. The deadline date for the next magazine is 20th March 2018.
