Vivitek’s NovoPro – a powerful, wireless collaboration tool – is playing a fundamental role in helping to invigorate lec- tures while bringing students’ work and projects to life at Uni- versity College London. The University had a require-


ment for a wireless presenta- tion solution that was simple to use but could easily scale to an enterprise-grade level. The Uni- versity came across Vivitek’s NovoPro at ISE 2016. Today, the NovoPros enable archi- tecture students to connect to display and discuss their work with students and lecturers.


SSE Offices


SSE required AV solutions over all 8 floors of their new offic- es, including: 45 fully kitted out meeting rooms with 50 on- floor displays and 16 Microsoft Surface Hubs are installed. In- tegration with Crestron control system was a challenge, but they worked with the Crestron team to develop firmware up- grades which were subsequent- ly rolled out world-wide. NTNU, Trondheim


Norway’s largest university, the NTNU in Trondheim, has cre- ated an infinitely and instantly configurable and flexible suite of teaching spaces by install- ing Europe’s largest AV over IP network with over 150 nodes. Carried out by ATEA using Zee- Vee hardware and a standard 10G network, the installation delivers uncompressed, zero latency 4K/UHD video for max- imum image quality and perfor- mance. The AV over IP network has been designed to give flexibility to the University and a phase 2 is already underway which will see another brand-new building at Trondheim become intercon- nected via fibre and open up

Newbury & Crookham Golf Club Newbury


& Crookham Golf


Club was looking to use AV technology to create an indoor golf simulation facility for club members to practice and devel- op their skills all year round. The aim of the installation was to increase attendance and en- gagement with the club’s train- ing programmes.


ViewSonic delivered a com- bination of AV technologies to provide the club with an ef- fective and immersive means of assessing and analysing a player’s skills and techniques.


This included the Pro8530HDL projector which reproduced the virtual course onto a 4.5 metre screen and the CDE6561T IFP display to display data about the player’s swing and tech- nique.


The implementation of these


AV technologies has not only improved the assessment of players’ skills, but also provid- ed a unique interactive coach- ing experience that members value and is tailored to their skillset – setting the golf club apart from its competitors.


Cisco partnered with Saville AV to design and install the show- piece immersive interactive labs, using NEC display tech- nology and otherwise invisible Smart City data connections. The first public representation of the connected city is acces- sible at the Manchester Sci- ence Park, where a huge 5 x 3 interactive NEC video wall is located in the Bright Building. Displaying live, real time data, the video wall generates the visualisation of live feeds coming in from across the city where visitors can manipulate information to gain an overview or deep dive into any particular feature. Virtual maps, transport updates, bus and train loca- tions, traffic data - even feeds from the local Bee Project can be visualised!

City Verve Immersive Labs Installation


The fifteen-screen wall is con- figured using 55” NEC Multi- Sync X555UNS-PG displays which feature special protective vandal proof glass. The 2-mm toughened glass with anti-glare coating not only protects the display from damage, but also provides crisp and clear images from different viewing angles and distances whilst acting as a smooth touch surface for the user.

Vioso blended and warped the imagery from sixteen 8,200-lu- men ZU850 laser projectors, installed around the base of the dome, to project one seam- less image. The project which was com- missioned when Bayer decid- ed to move from their home in Newbury to their new building in Reading Green Park was planned and implemented by Focus 21’s Project Director Justin Paveley. Justin ensured that the project was not only implemented in the very short time scale, but also delivered on budget and above the cli- ent’s expectations.

This major cultural change to a more agile way of working included standardising on presentation, meeting and huddle room equipment across all the offices.


Saville were selected to help develop, design and deliver these standards in over 175 rooms across UK and Europe.
