ISE 2018 show guide

Projection 8K laser from DP

Digital Projection (1-F70) will unveil two brand new products at ISE. The manufacturer will preview the world’s first 8K laser projec- tor: the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K. The company will also launch the Radiance LED video wall – expanding its offering beyond projection to offer more resolution, pixels and possibilities than ever before. Set to be the world’s first commercially available DLP, laser 8K projector, the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K sits in a class of its own when it comes to performance. Providing an ultra-high 8K resolution (7680 X 4320) of 33-million pixels through 25,000 ANSI lumens of solid-state laser-phosphor illumination, the new flagship projector is the ultimate solution for the most elaborate medical, scientific and immersive visualisation and large-venue applications. In addi- tion to the resolution and lumen performance, it uses proven DLP technology incorporating 3x 1.38" DarkChip DMD chips and Digital Projection’s ColorMax technology to ensure superb colour accuracy and black levels. These are especially vital imaging characteristics when matching projectors in tiled or blended applications. From simulation and visualisation projects requiring unmatched details, to elite entertainment venues that demand the most im- mersive experience through large-scale imagery, the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K provides a new performance benchmark in the industry. Lamp replacements are never required due to the solid-state laser illumination system. By eliminating regular lamp replacement cy- cles, system operation is never interrupted, making long-term main- tenance costs virtually non-existent. This means dramatically lower cost of ownership over the lifespan of the projector. Other key benefits of laser illumination include the simplifica- tion of blending multiple projectors, as laser projectors are closely matched “out of the box” for colour and brightness, with predictable and stable brightness providing close tracking in matched systems over the long-term. Featuring MultiAxis orientation capability of por- trait or landscape use and every angle in between, the INSIGHT Dual Laser 8K also boasts a multitude of optional high-performance lenses, ensuring it serves as a powerful and flexible imaging tool for venues requiring the most incredible projection solution, regardless of the installation footprint. The new flagship product from Digital Projection is expected to ship in Q3 2018.

Digital Projection will also take the ISE opportunity to launch Ra- diance LED to the European market, a new range of 120Hz and 3D capable Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) LED panels ranging from 1.26 to 2.53mm. With four models to choose from (Radiance LED 1.2, 1.5, 1.9 and 2.5), the new Black SMD LED range offers up to 1,000 nits of brightness, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a 120Hz refresh rate. With lifetime rated at 50,000 hours, Digital Projection’s new Radi- ance LED is built on a native 16:9 aspect ratio and is therefore able to achieve full HD 1080p imagery and Ultra-HD 4K, making it the ideal solution for various installations including retail, broadcast, command & control, visitor attraction, house of worship as well as rental entertainment applications. Digital Projection’s fine-pitch LED wall solutions display bright and vivid imagery thanks to a broad dynamic range and high colour bit-depth. They also provide a wide 160-degree viewing angle for maximum visibility and a fan-less panel design for silent operation. Radiance LED walls are also rated for 24/7 operation and can be configured with power and signal redundancy for mission critical applications.

Radiance LED also offers an installation and service friendly de- sign. Each panel is front-service accessible allowing for a slim in- stallation profile and efficient maintenance. This makes it possible to service any panel within the display without disrupting the align- ment of any other panel. To guarantee the best possible installation, Digital Projection’s Concierge Service is available to complement every Radiance LED deployment by offering customers assistance from initial concept and engineering assessment to final installation and calibration.
