Our objective is to be the most trusted laboratory partner for our clients by providing personalized service, accurate testing, rapid turnaround time, and innovative systems and solutions. I am the Vice President of Employer Services, responsible for our Substance Abuse and Wellness sales and business development activities.

What have been some of your major accomplishments? Professionally, I am most proud of the sales team we have built and the success we have achieved over the past five years. Our team has done a fantastic job engaging the market and articulating the value delivered through a partnership with CRL.

What is the biggest issue you see facing the drug and alcohol testing industry? Certainly the trend toward legalization of marijuana is top of mind, but the most important issue facing our industry today is leadership. Many of the thought leaders

who helped shape our industry are in the twilight of their careers, and without capable replacements prepared to assume prominent roles, we face uncertainty as we take on the challenges before us.

What advancements do you see in the drug and alcohol testing industry in the next five years? Health and screening activities associated with hiring and maintaining a safe and productive workforce are far too difficult using today’s business processes. Technological advancements with the ability to connect the industry to improve accuracy, speed, cost, and customer experience will be the most impactful shiſt we see in the next five years.

What steps do you take to plan for the upcoming year (2018)? CRL follows a traditional approach. We create sales projections and establish a budget, revisit our long-term strategy to confirm alignment with our customers’ needs, and adjust to meet the future needs of our customers and the industry.

What are you most looking forward to in the new year? Watching the Kansas City Chiefs win Super Bowl 52! ❚
