NEW MEMBER PROFILE BY TAMIKA CARTER, DATIA

AccuSource

Tell us about your company and the role you play there. AccuSource is a small, privately held, Women’s Business Enterprise based in California. Driven by a steadfast focus on our core values, we empower employers by developing successful, client-centric and efficient employment screening programs (background screening, drug screening, etc.). We are accredited by the National Association of Professional Background Screeners, customer- obsessed, and dedicated to regulatory compliance. As Chief Executive Officer, I serve as our company’s visionary—responsible and accountable for strategic direction and growth.

Lisa Holder, CEO AccuSource

We believe membership and access to DATIA’s expertise enables us to stay at the

forefront of compliance news and industry happenings; enabling us to better serve as an employment screening concierge to our clients.

When and why did you decide to join DATIA? We joined DATIA in July of 2017 because we recognized the significant industry expertise and compliance knowledge DATIA offers. We believe membership and access to DATIA’s expertise enables us to stay at the forefront of compliance news and industry happenings; enabling us to better serve as an employment screening concierge to our clients.

What has been your favorite membership benefit since joining? Although we have only been a member for a few short months, we have benefited immensely from the wealth of resources and information provided by DATIA. Affording our team members the opportunity to engage with DATIA’s resources in a meaningful way has been beneficial, and we look forward to continued access to these and additional benefits in the future.

What does your company hope to gain from DATIA membership? We hope to grow our subject mater expertise, participate in more DATIA events and activities, and grow our partner

network within the industry. By doing so, we will continue gaining traction towards meeting our long-term goals of growing our drug screening business and maintaining the advanced compliance knowledge and expertise necessary to serve our clients.

What do you wish other people knew about your company that they may not already know? Very few companies approach business and customer satisfaction the way we do at AccuSource. Our unique approach to business allows us to drive accountability and our core values successfully; enabling us to create an unmatched, positive experience for clients. Tis is thanks to our adoption of the Gino Wickman Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).

What is your company’s biggest challenge? For years, we have successfully grown our business organically. However, as we continue to grow, strategic alliances are becoming more and more important. To aid us in our efforts, we recently launched our new website and social media, we’re atending more industry events, and we are taking advantage of the resources and benefits offered through our various association memberships.

What does your

company do to celebrate its employees? We plan and host a variety of social and cultural events aimed at celebrating our employees, showing our appreciation, and affording team members the opportunity to socialize outside of the office. Tese events are held both onsite and offsite, and include events such as pool parties, cultural celebrations (Flag Day, Cinco de Mayo, Fourth of July), and barbecues. Tese events extend throughout the year, but peak during the summer months. ❚
