Hypnosis: The No Diet Solution for Natural Weight Loss

W

ell, it’s that refl ective time of year again. The holiday sea- son is over and life is returning to normal and, like many people, your New Year’s resolution may be to fi nally fi nd

a way to lose that unwanted, unhealthy weight. There is very good news for those who want to combat obesity, gain control and lose weight. Hypnosis, whether traditional or the new Virtual Gastric Band program, is an easy, relaxing and successful solution to natu- ral weight loss without dieting. You may have the best of intentions to stop eating those sweets or starchy carbs and really begin that “diet” tomorrow…but something stops you from following through with the plan. Your motivation and willpower suddenly disappear. Cravings, emotional eating, portion sizes and out of control behav- iors often get the best of us …we give in and then we give up.

Hypnosis can fi nally end the old sabotaging behavior and help your mind work for you instead of against you. Hypnosis has the ability to help you regain your willpower to eat consciously and healthfully so you can fi nally lose weight….without deprivation! Hypnosis is widely recognized by scientists and researchers as a very safe, natural and enjoyable state of deep physical and emo- tional relaxation. It is a well-established fact that therapeutic hyp- nosis can be used as an effective tool for everything from weight loss and smoking cessation, behavior modifi cation, success and motivation, insomnia, fear, stress, healing and even pain control. Today hypnosis is used in medicine, dentistry, law enforcement, professional sports and self-improvement.

Anyone who has made a personal commitment to change behav- ior or improve their health and life realizes how diffi cult it can be to institute and maintain regular and positive improvements and responses for wellness. Hypnosis has proven to be an effective, safe method to create the healthy and positive changes needed to naturally lose weight, without dieting, without deprivation and without surgery.

ver wonder why the diets and nutrition programs that work for some people do not work for everyone? The answer is usually two-fold: the diet isn’t individualized to them, and underlying weight loss obstacles are not addressed. These personal challenges need to be recognized and addressed. A lot goes in to determin- ing body composition; not only calorie intake and exercise, but gut bacteria, infl ammation, hormones, stress, genetics, and more. There are even specifi c conditions, such as lipedema, associated with weight loss diffi culty. Lipedema involves stubborn, sometimes painful fat, particularly in the legs and buttocks; experts estimate that it affects as many as 11% of women yet remains severely underdiagnosed.

E

Outdated nutrition advice is also common. Many people are still concerned about eating high fat diets, despite evidence that low carb and ketogenic diets can be very effective for weight loss and managing blood sugar. The ketogenic diet can be particularly ef- fective because it forces the body to break down fat for fuel rather than relying on dietary glucose for energy. For many, weight loss becomes more diffi cult in mid-life as hormones and metabolism change. Certain strategies are more effective in this population such as intermittent fasting (IF). IF can be done in different ways. For example, limiting your eating window, alternate-day-fasting, or fasting-mimicking. IF has been shown to have numerous benefi ts, one of which is improved body composition.

Tailoring dietary programs to the individual is vital for optimizing results. For this reason, we offer a variety of nutrition programs in our offi ce including DNA-matching diets, ketogenic, and an innovative new program called hCG KetoSlim, just to name a few. These programs are personalized by taking into account medical history, lab tests to uncover underlying metabolic or hormonal is- sues, and DNA testing.
