ADVICE TO KEEP DARTMOUTH RESIDENTS WARM AND WELL
ocal group South Dartmoor Community Energy (SDCE), is on a mission to help residents reduce their fuel bills and stay warm and well this winter. The SDCE energy advisors are holding drop in energy advice surgeries at the Dartmouth Baptist Church on Wednesday 13th December from 10-12 and everyone is welcome to pop in. For the best advice residents are urged to bring a recent fuel bill. Funded through the Lottery and DCH Group the advice is all free and impartial and includes advice on switching energy tariff, info on the extra support available from fuel companies, grants for heating and insulation improvements and smart meters. commented; “Many residents are very loyal to their energy suppliers and reluctant to shop around for fear of the hassle. We want to give people the confidence and skills to take charge of their fuel bills and ensure they’re not paying too much.”

singing and snow which will start the event at 12.00pm followed by live music, jugglers and face painting. In addition, businesses will be offering fizz, mulled wine and mince pies. Individual stores will also be running a series of in store promotions and competitions including the following: Juste Moi: The luxury lingerie retailer will be running a competition to win bra and brief set plus a free gift will be provided with every purchase over £50. Gifts from The Heart: Foss Streets’ new card and
gift emporium will be offering a free Yankee candle, tote bag and gift box with every purchase over £30 plus 20% off Yankee candles. Rolys Fudge will be providing free fudge for all children up and down the street. The Dartmouth Book Seller will be holding both adults and children`s competitions with prizes including hardback books, stockings and chocolates.
