Our tester, Ben Hobday, says: Although rug came up slightly small and smaller across the chest area than rugs I’ve used previously, it has been very durable and efficient. As it was waterproof and has an attached neck, it kept the horses dry, comfortable and snug during all weathers. There is very durable hook and loop fastening on the neck making it easier to adjust and the clips and buckles are of a very good standard enabling the rug to be fitted with ease. I particularly liked the sheepskin at the withers, which stopped any soreness due to the horses rubbing. A very good quality, good value for money rug and I will look at these again in the future.

Our tester, Denise Richardson-Rowell, says: I have always have loved the range from this brand, so when I got asked to try their new stable rug I jumped at the chance! I put it on my 16.3hh lightweight show hunter; it is such a brilliant fit, a good deep sided rug with quick release clips on the front, and cross surcingles and even though it doesn’t have cross straps behind, the rug never seems to move! It never rubbed his shoulders and has a long tail flap too. The colour is lovely and very easy on the eye. My horse sometimes likes to try to rip the front of some rugs but so far hasn’t managed to with this one. Although it is a thick rug it is not too heavy and is very easy to put on and take off. Machine washable which I did at 40° and hung it to out to dry, I have already told a few horsey friends about it too!

Our tester, Pam Harrison, says: Everything you would ever need from a warm stable rug and the navy with lime green binding is smart! This is a very good fit on a 7/8 bred sport horse stallion, but with plenty of adjustment for a more chunky frame. It’s a generously deep cut too, so it wraps well round underneath, held by the cross surcingles, but isn’t restrictive thanks to the gussets just behind the shoulders. Darted over the rump for a snug fit, the neck section can be safely left folded back in warmer weather very tidily. I like the idea of the memory foam wither pad as heavyweight rugs can be heavy, but this promises additional comfort.
