Our tester, Maria Phillips, says: This medium weight rug is ideal for mid-seasons where the nights can be chilly but not really cold. A stylish rug benefitting from a fixed neck which can be folded back through the day. I found that because of the weight it was easy to throw on which was helpful especially as my horse stands at a tall 17’ 3 hands! However the overall weight didn’t compromise the warmth. I liked the tartan colourway as it was more traditional and not garish and didn’t show the stable stains. The size was true, the buckles and fastenings of good quality, a touch close fasten at the neck and the good length of the tail guard. It did not rub on the shoulders or move when my horse got up or down. Very competitively priced so an ideal rug for your horses winter wardrobe.

Environmentally friendly; 100% Biodegradable Formula; Special cleaning concentrate. 250ml. RRP: £7.50. Use in association with the water-based Conditioner that rejuvenates the fluorocarbon and silicone coating on your rug, increasing the surface tension of the fabric to encourage water, soil and oil to leave the rug. 250ml. RRP: £7.50 For best results, remove all non-washable parts and always clean the item first with the Wash in a separate wash cycle. No need to dry the item before using Conditioner. Always make sure to follow care label instructions before washing

Our tester, Val Williams, says: These two products are great. I have to admit I didn’t know the company made them but now we will buy more. There are some rugs that ordinary washing powder doesn’t get properly clean but this certainly does the job brilliantly. The Wash is not only suitable for horse rugs it can be used to wash travel boots, numnahs, dog beds, products filled with down, breeches etc. It is 100% bio-degradable, free from pesticides and leaves whatever you wash with the loveliest fresh smell. Its partner, the Conditioner rejuvenates the silicone coating on the rug which helps the water and soil to leave it. After using these products the colour on the rugs etc. seem brighter too. They can also be used for hand-washing if required following the instructions on the bottle. I’ll definitely be keeping these on hand in future. Why struggle to get things clean when Rambo are on hand.
