FIVE REASONS TO REMORTGAGE YOUR HOME
According to research by TSB, 31% of eligible homeowners are preparing to remortgage in 2017. Remortgaging means moving your mortgage from one lender to another to get a better deal and here are five reasons you may consider doing it:
1. To lower your monthly repayments.
2. To switch to a fixed rate product if currently on a variable rate product.
3. To gain payment flexibility – your current mortgage may not allow overpayments, underpayments or payment holidays.
4. For better mortgage terms – if your financial
circumstances have improved, you could get lower monthly payments.
5. To access equity – if your property has increased in value, or your mortgage has decreased, you may be able to release some equity for home improvements which could increase the value of your property.
If any of these apply to you, always seek professional advice to ensure it makes financial sense to remortgage. Newbury Building Society will be happy to help guide you through all the right options available to you. T: 01635 555777 W:
