From awesome artworks to stimulating science, we bring you the latest fun things to do from across the county to keep young minds entertained this half term.
The Look Out helps children connect with
the world around them Want to get your children to engage with the natural world outside the classroom? The Look Out Discovery Centre gets youngsters thinking about STEM topics using hands-on exhibits that educate as well as entertain. There are five zones with 90+ exhibits that demonstrate principles as diverse as gravity, the human body, light and shadow, colour, food chains, as well as mathematical puzzles. For the engineers and architects among you, there is a large Build It! Area, where you can design and build your very own house. T: 01344 354400 W:

Cosy up and create a masterpiece
An artful way to unleash
your child’s talents Join Jelly artists from the 24th-26th October at The Museum of English Rural Life and get your Discover Arts Award at the Art & Heritage Club! This is a new creative, half term club with artists from the award-winning Jelly arts charity using the exhibits in the MERL as a starting point to explore different artistic techniques. The sessions will teach the children to explore, experiment and have fun with the creative process and encourage them to look at the museum in a completely different way. See their website for times and prices. E:
