than be a conduit of the information DATIA provides, I would like to help draw employers to DATIA so they have direct access to the information. I believe all parties of the drug testing industry, including employers, atending the same conference and learning and interacting together, would strengthen the overall drug testing process and I look forward to supporting DATIA in those areas.
What is the biggest issue you see facing the drug and alcohol testing industry? Right now, I believe the most important issue facing the drug and alcohol-
testing industry is the current Federal administration’s intent to reduce regulations, which will have a significant impact on our industry. Will they move forward with the regulation to include new specimen types like oral fluid and hair, or will regulations be cut that affect the drug testing industry? In addition, we need to understand how this administration will address the states who have legalized the use of marijuana. Once we understand this, we need to have clear direction and programs in place to educate the TPAs, MROs, SAPs, clinics and employers so all parties are working off the same page. ❚
