Swimming Pool Scene AQUATIC EXERCISE

ABOVE: Panache Pools completed the installation of a partially sunken exercise pool that features a limestone paving pool surround and is fitted with a Plastica Aqua Jet counter current unit.

aquatic exercise pools. In fact, more wooden exercise pools were sold in the first six months this year than in the whole of 2016. The dual-purpose design of Plastica’s wooden exercise pool means that bathers can benefit from a conventional pool with the added extra of an exercise pool.

“Our wooden exercise pool is proving more popular than ever,” reveals Samantha Tuffnell of Plastica.

“Our customers love the ability to exercise and work your muscles in a warm environment, whilst supporting your weight and therefore taking most of the load off your skeleton, ligaments and joints.” Samantha adds: “We’re also seeing an increased demand for retro-fit counter current units, particularly in the residential pools market.”

POWERFUL JET

Plastica offer a few options to convert your customers’ pools to exercise pools, including the Aquajet 100 counter current swim unit, which is a 1.1kW over-the-wall unit. The Aquajet 100 can also be supplied for new builds or simply retro-fitted to most existing pools. New for 2017 is the X-Stream counter current through-the- wall unit. It’s easy to install and gives a more aesthetically pleasing finish and more powerful counter current than its over-the-wall alternative. There are two options for the X-Stream – the single kit which comes with a Nardoself pump or the X-Stream Duo, which comes with two of the Espa wiper pumps. The X-Stream Duo features a pneumatic air switch, so there is a delay between the first pump going on and the second one to avoid a power surge. Samantha adds: “The over-the-wall counter current units are still our bestsellers, but we expect the X-Stream through the wall system to become our best seller as the trade become aware of its ability to offer strong swimmers a powerful unit at an affordable price.” Recently Panache Pools of Kettering completed the installation

of an exercise pool with an enclosure cover. The partially sunken pool features a limestone paving pool surround and is fitted with a Plastica Aqua Jet counter current unit, a Plastica air source heat pump and pool filtration equipment.

The family saw the exercise pool package on display at the

Panache Pools showroom and fell in love with the package. Panache delivered the complete project over a period of two weeks. The happy customers now have an indoor exercise pool in their back garden to enjoy exercise and relaxation all year round.
