MEMBER NEWS Two new starters celebrate success

Bright Solicitors based in Plymouth have recently seen two of their legal team qualify as solicitors. Liam Arrowsmith

Tanveer Bhogal A sharp, talented and attentive newly-qualified corporate and commercial solicitor. Tanveer continues to impress at her forward-thinking, niche commercial practice in Devon. While her ambition, hard work and legal work speaks for itself, it’s the extra mile she goes outside of the office which sets her apart from others. Tan joined Bright (South West)

LLP as a trainee in 2015 with high expectations given her experience at a top 50 UK firm and at Norton Rose Fullbright’s office in Brisbane, Australia. Tan’s high standard of work has impressed clients, colleagues and competitors. Going above and beyond her requirements as a trainee she brought in various new clients to the firm. Qualifying in April 2017, Tan immediately took to the comprehensive, technical nature of commercial terms and agreements and applied her previous know-how to deliver work that was far beyond what was expected of her. Tan understands that a law firm is ultimately a business and her commercial mind allows her to excel. As a result of her impact in the commercial team, Tan was chosen to work alongside Partner Matt Cook on the £2m share sale of a large private technology company. Having proven her capabilities, Tan now leads acquisition deals and has

recently carved a niche for herself in drafting commercial terms and conditions. This has resulted in running her own matters including drafting bespoke terms for a marketing start-up business and numerous entrepreneurs.

As Bright’s youngest ever newly qualified solicitor, Liam is repeatedly commended for his proactive and innovative approach in providing pragmatic commercial advice. Standing out from the crowd for his exceptional client care, he is often recognised for his efforts not only in the office but also in the local community. Following a spell in-house at an

international media production company, Liam arrived as a trainee at Bright Solicitors and quickly acquired a brilliant reputation amongst colleagues and clients. His enthusiasm and encouraging

nature means that he is enjoyable to work with and creates a positive working environment for others. Liam has proven himself to be a passionate, commercially-minded solicitor and a valuable asset to his team. Liam has proven his abilities in every task asked of him, consistently providing an outstanding service to clients and going above and beyond what is expected of him. One of Liam’s early corporate matters was assisting in a high-value

share sale of a national training provider including multiple investors, in which he demonstrated exceptional business knowledge and legal know- how. Following this, Liam was chosen to assist our Corporate Partner in a multi-million pound management buyout involving complex drafting of investment documents and dealing with completion matters.
