What is your role at the Chamber? I look after the Chamber’s networking calendar by putting on events, which include anything from Breakfast events to large black tie evenings and everything in between. Our varied events aim to provide networking opportunities to suit all of our member needs.
What is the best part of your job? I absolutely love meeting new people at events, as well as catching up with regular attendees. The feeling you get from putting on a great event that everyone enjoyed and made useful contacts at is incredible!
What is your biggest event in the calendar? The biggest event in the calendar would be the Devon Business Show. The show brings over 150 exhibitors together to showcase their products and services to hundreds of visitors from across the county. The show which takes place at Plymouth Pavilions involves the entire Devon Chamber team and it is a very exciting day for us all. I personally love seeing how much time and effort goes into exhibitor stands, they always have the wow factor and look fantastic!
What did you do before working at the Chamber? I was a student! The Chamber was my first
‘proper’ job after graduating, and my role has adapted completely since starting at the Chamber. I’m so grateful for all the people I’ve met and experience that I’ve gained since joining the team.
What do you do when you’re not at work? I am a bit of a gym bunny, so I’ll often be in the gym, but aside from that I like to spend time with family and catch up with friends, this usually involves eating lots of yummy food over lunch or dinner.
