The marina provides state-of-the-
art facilities for all yachting needs, such as fuel docks, power supply and waste pump-out system all protected by 24-hour security. As the marina has reached its
maximum capacity for live-aboard boaters, it will not be accepting any more requests for the time being. There is a limited number of transient berths available for visiting yachts measuring from 40-100 ft. Priority is given on a ‘first reserved, first served’ basis.
Waterfront hub At seven o’clock is Keppel Bay – a vibrant, integrated waterfront hub for people to live, work and play. The Marina at Keppel Bay has
168 berths, which can accommodate superyachts of up to 280 ft. It features a world-class concrete pontoon system, designed and built by Bellingham Marine. The Southern end of the marina is protected by winged attenuator pontoons, which are two metres deep, weighing approximately 8,300 kg per unit, and the Northern end has a fixed breakwater. These ensure that boats berthed within the marina remain well-protected. Individual berths for superyachts
are fitted with their own black/grey water pump-out systems and separate reticulated vacuum sewer pump-outs
diesel, washroom with showers, wi-fi access, a members’ lounge and 24-hour security and surveillance. An hour further around the dial is
the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club (RSYC), the oldest yacht club in Asia and the only members-owned yacht club in Singapore. Founded in 1826, the history of the RSYC goes back more than 181 years to an elegant era when the officers and men of Sir Stamford Raffles were its earliest members. Following on the tradition when its first Patron was also the first President of Singapore, the current Patron is S. R. Nathan, Former President of the Republic of Singapore. Conveniently situated at West
Coast Park, near the junction of West Coast Highway and Clementi Road, the marina offers easy access to Singapore’s Southern Islands and Indonesia’s Riau Archipelago, both favourite boating destinations. The marina offers modern berthing and marine support facilities, both to members and visiting international yachts. It is dedicated to sea sports and provides social and recreational activities throughout the year. Standard berths range in size from
35-70 ft and each berth is supplied with a dockbox, polyester fendering, power pedestal and water tap, which are both metered. Telephone connection is available on request to berths of 60 ft and above. The power supply is 230 volts, 32 amps for boats up to 45 ft and up to 63 amps for

boats longer than 50 ft. The 140 m long outer wave
attenuator has been designed to accommodate megayachts, both sail and motor. The three T-berths at the end of the pontoon walkways can hold yachts up to 100 ft. Power provision is by three-phase, 415 volt, 100 amp metered power pedestals and water outlets are also supplied. These mega- berths are fully fendered and have heavy-duty bollards. The Club’s new vertical dry stack
storage facility can accommodate 220 boats up to 35 ft in length. Covered areas are equipped with lighting and fire-fighting equipment.
Raffles Marina At nine, the clock’s hour hand points to Raffles Marina. It is, perhaps, inevitable that the name Raffles is synonymous with Singapore. The famous hotel of that name opened its doors in 1887 and has since become a byword for luxury and romance in the Far East. At a time in the mid-90s, when the marine leisure scene in Singapore consisted only of modest, traditional
yacht clubs and basic boatels in the backwaters, Raffles Marina was born and pioneered the advent of a new genre of modern marinas and country clubs.
It officially opened in 1994 and
became the first Five Gold Anchor- rated marina in the Asia-Pacific region. By extending the reach of its cruising and marine conservation programmes throughout much of the area, it also became the first Bluewater marina launched by the Aseanarean Bluewater Alliance in 1999. The marina’s walk-on berths can
accommodate boats of up to 65 ft and there are 208 spaces for craft up to 35 ft available for dry storage in the boathouse. Megayachts can be berthed alongside a solid breakwater in a depth of ten metres, whilst the approach channel has a minimum depth of five metres, even at low tide. Shoreside power services, a fresh
water supply, TV antennae connectors and telecommunication access are also available, together with a wide variety of clubhouse facilities and other leisure activities.
