Paint the Future show, held April 7-9 in Waco, drew over 850 Paint Horse entries and awarded $21,450 in scholarship money! High-point champions included Emily Miller (WT-Y/A Spot In Heaven), Renee Conklin (NY/ Total Assets), Lindsey Watland (13&U/Zippo Bingo), Hanna Stokan (14-18/Gallant Zippo), Cynthia Perkins (WT-Am/Zipt N Rapt By Ellen), Amy Novacek (N-Am/Sensa- tionalSugarDaddy), Ali Eidson (Am/Gametime Sensation), Belinda Crisp (Masters-Am/Sheiks Winning Colors), Kerri Wright (Y-Ranch/Pep- tos Nic In Time), Randy Head (Nov-Am- Ranch/Pixel Dancer), Laura Hoelscher (Am-Ranch/Lets Get Snappin), and Marcy Blakely (Open-Ranch/Gemstone Jazzy J Bar). hosted its Spring Fling Show April 15, in Bryan. Grand champion mare, Simply Eliza- beth, and grand champion gelding, Its Kid Raak, were both shown by Henry Mentz, Jr. Macy Mentz showed Its Kid Raak to win youth halter geldings. Winners of some of the larger classes included Arty Dreamed Colors (Jr- Ranch-Trail/Linda Long), Lads Playboy (Hun- ter-In-Hand-Geldings/Dale Sullens), Vested Victory (Green-W-Riding/Emily Davis), and Sailin To Paradise (Sr-&-Green-Trail/Lonnie Cruse).

to top Paint horses at the National Reining Breeders Classic in Katy April 16-23. Hanna Lovrien, Jonesboro, AR, and That Kind Of Night took home the youth division buckle, while Ryan Humphrey, Whitesboro, TX, and Guns R For Shootin earned the Non-Pro Clas- sic Challenge buckle.
