BUS INE S S S POT L IGHT - COR E C L INI C S Professional aesthetic
Is it time to consider aesthetic treatment for yourself or your male partner? The days when women were the only clients at the spa or the cosmetic surgery clinic are long gone.
Many men in professional jobs who want to present a polished, professional image now think nothing of investing in grooming - ranging from nail treatments and haircuts at a good hairdresser to facials and hot shaves. An increasing number of men are also undertaking cosmetic enhancement procedures with around 20% of procedures (including surgical and non-surgical) now being carried out on men.
However, many men still have concerns about aesthetic procedures or don’t believe they are ‘for them’.

Core Clinics - Hatton
Men may commonly be concerned about appearing vain or superficial by investing in their appearance, or they may have more practical concerns regarding the safety and efficacy of treatment, or about the effects – in particular, they may be worried about ‘not looking like themselves. All of these concerns are natural and understandable, but largely unfounded.
Often it’s women who make the first appointment on behalf of their partner or, a man may express interest when his wife or girlfriend has had a consultation or treatment. However, the treatment requirements of each individual are unique and male skin and facial features tend to age quite differently than women’s (due to factors including shaving, different skin care, hormones and different facial features and facial fat distribution) – so having a personal consultation with an expert in male aesthetics treatments is strongly recommended.
In the hands of an expert, like Dr Max Malik of Core Clinics and Elate Health, who has extensive experience of treating male as well as female aesthetic patients, any of your concerns will be addressed and dispelled. Dr Max says ‘In an increasingly image-conscious society, everything from success at work to success in relationships can be affected not only by our appearance but by our confidence in how we present ourselves. Investing in your appearance – whether that be in buying a good suit, a gym membership, or anti-ageing skin treatments – can improve the way you look and feel, and the way that others relate to you.’
