Welcome LIVE24 TO LIVE24-SEVEN IN STAFFORDSHIRE & THE WEST MIDLANDS // JUNE 2017

Our June front cover is Sam Claflin, read his interview on pages 10-14 of this Issue ahead of his appearance alongside Rachel Weisz in My Cousin Rachel, Sam chats to us about what drew him to the role, being a fulltime dad between filming and touches on growing up in Norwich. Despite a magnificent career so far, Sam tells us he is keen to explore different roles.

So we have our very first elected Metro Mayor! Huge congratulations to Andy Street and well done to the other candidates on an election fought with dignity, enthusiasm and passion. And so the work starts on one of the most exciting regions in the country. The West Midlands has so much to boast about, but so much more that can be achieved and much that needs addressing, such as the issue of homelessness, jobs and transport, to name just a few topics.

We’ve put our faith in Andy to deliver on these issues as well as increasing our share of voice and return from London! It seems quite fitting then that in this issue we have a Best of Birmingham feature. At the heart of the Midlands, Birmingham is proud of its cultural diversity, a place that is a draw for investment, is welcoming and a place that is noted as a ‘must-visit’ around the world. In this feature we draw out the very best that Birmingham has to offer and Jas Sansi, Birmingham’s favourite photographer, highlights what he believes to be great about the city through the lens of his camera.

To celebrate World Gin Day on 10th June, some of our favourite bars and restaurants have created stunning Gin Cocktail recipes that we hope you love and if you’re looking for great events to attend this summer, the Hill Climb at Chateau Impney has to be up there. This year over a billion pounds’ worth of cars will be in attendance to include some incredible vintage Ferraris. There’s also the Lichfield Festival for those that love the arts and our very own Ladies Day this month – always a fabulous day out!

Enjoy the start of summer…Katie & team xxx With ‘love’ Katie & Team xxx www.live24-seven.com
