Our cathedral city has been ranked in the top fi ve warmest and driest places in the UK. By using fi gures available
from the Met Offi ce, cities were ranked by warmth using a single combined metric based on maximum average temperature, dry days and total rainfall. Those living in London should slap on the protective sun factor as the English capital beat all other UK cities to claim the hot top spot. This is thanks to a maximum temperature of 15.3°C, 256 dry days and only 557mm of rainfall annually. Other cities that made the top fi ve include: Cambridge, Chelmsford and Worcester.
