CliniSys has announced a new partnership with
hc1.com. Through this partnership, CliniSys will deliver a ‘powered by hc1’ pathology customer relationship management (CRM) and live analytics solution to its current and prospective clients, offering an innovative platform that enables laboratories to deliver the highest level of service to their clients. With more than 500 client contracts
covering 2000 laboratories and a 99% client retention rate, CliniSys innovates and responds to market demands. CliniSys selected
hc1.com to meet its clients’ needs for a pathology-specific CRM solution. The hc1 Healthcare Relationship Cloud is a secure, software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that has been adopted across more than 850 sites around the globe, taking in more than 2.5 billion clinical transactions that are combined with business data to construct comprehensive provider and patient profiles that drive action and accountability. “Similar to the situation in the USA, a shift

Self-contained measurement camera
The new TrueChrome Metrics camera from Stemmer Imaging provides fully integrated digital image capture and measurement for micro and macro scientific imaging applications,without the need for a PC. By plugging a mouse into the camera and connecting the HDMI camera output to a monitor, a wide range of multiform measurement tools allows measurements to be made on the high-quality images produced. The camera is capable of delivering measurements with a resolution of 10 nanometres, and the images are generated by the 2.3 megapixel Sony Exmor CMOS sensor. This allows the user to manipulate live images without any monitor lag. An image compare mode also permits
side-by-side comparison of live and previously stored images. Automatic optimisation of camera settings optimises image quality whatever the application. Exposure time, saturation and automatic white balance produce high-quality images with minimal need for manual adjustment, whether for brightfield imaging or darkfield birefringent crystal imaging. The powerful inbuilt measurement

Results can be exported as Excel or text files to the SD card. The camera is easily calibrated and up to 10 calibration files can be saved for different microscope or lens configurations. The embedded user interface is easy to
use. There are only two icons on screen, one for image capture and the other for the settings menu. The measurement menu appears simply by right clicking anywhere on the live image. For users who prefer integrated PC control instead of standalone operation, the camera can also be connected and controlled directly to a computer via a USB2.0 cable.
