Halloween Palm Springs Saturday, October 31 (6:00 to10:00 a.m.)


Join thousands of incredible and unique costumed revelers for Halloween on Arenas Rd in Palm Springs. Bands, DJs and singers along with cash and prizes for the costume contest. From October 26-30 there will be preliminary costume contests at Chill, Spurline, Hunters, Score and Streetbar with cash and prizes valued at over $200 at each contest.


Pride Honors Awards Friday, October 9 (6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)


The prestigious Palm Springs Pride Honors Awards are presented annually to individuals to honor the work they have put into furthering the causes of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and their allies. The awards reception will take place at the Hyatt Palm Springs located at 285 N. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs. Admission $25 General Admission, $50 Honors Circle, $1,000 Champagne Tables for four. Spirit of Stonewall Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to the renowned photographer Michael Childers and human rights activists Melinda Tremaglio. The 2015 Volunteer of the Year is Brian Wanzek (better known as entertainment personality, Bella da BallSM


). The Spirit of Stonewall Community Service Award will be presented


to Lisa Middleton and the Friend of Pride will be bestowed on Melisse Banwer. The 2015 Special Guest is Dr. Ronni Sanlo and the Spirit of Pride award recipient is Janet Malachowsky. Great Autos of Yesteryear will be recognized for supporting the community for thirty-two years with the Organization of the Year Award.


Rainbow Flag Raising Friday, November 6 (10:00 a.m.)


Free community event. Palm Springs Village Green


Community leaders will be joined by civic officials at a flag raising ceremony for a rainbow flag which will fly above the streets in downtown Palm Springs for Pride weekend November 6-8. This event will commemorate the 36th Anniversary of the Rainbow flag and will be the official kickoff to a slate of Pride events and celebrations including the parade and festival.
