The new VIP F-TYPE tour enables guests to have their own personal tour of the Castle Bromwich facility. Hosting the world’s largest aluminium press - built specifically to create the F-TYPE’s aerodynamic form – the tour showcases Jaguar’s dedicated cybernetic army of robots which shape, rivet and bond Jaguar cars, before craftsmen apply the finishing touches to each vehicle.
Guests on this exclusive tour get privileged access to areas that are usually sealed off to the public, and have the expertise of the Jaguar Experience tour guide at their disposal throughout the day.
The Castle Bromwich tours expand the wider Jaguar Experience offering, which includes the new Jaguar XE Tour at Jaguar’s Solihull site. They are also soon to be joined by a range of Dynamic Drive experiences, available at both the Castle Bromwich and Solihull sites. These will give guests the chance to get behind the wheel of iconic Jaguar vehicles both old and new, from the E-Type, to the latest interpretation of Jaguar’s sporting glory - the F-TYPE.
Whilst new to the public, the Castle Bromwich site has been the home of Jaguar Cars since 1977. Established in 1938, the site was originally used to manufacture military aircraft – with around 12,000 Spitfires and 300 Lancaster Bombers produced on site. Now it homes hundreds of hi-tech robots operating alongside thousands of highly skilled workers across 112 acres to produce some of the most technologically advanced cars in the world, including the XF, XJ and F-TYPE.
The site employs a team of 3,000 people, responsible for manufacturing over 80% of Jaguar vehicles, with the final product being delivered to 101 markets worldwide. Bringing £8 billion into the UK, Castle Bromwich is one of Britain’s most successful automotive plants.
