Santa Rosa, CA ~ Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Presi- dent/Superintendent Dr. Frank Chong and Rotary 5130 Dis- trict Governor Kevin Eisenberg hosted representatives from the 19 participating local Ro- tary Clubs, two Rotaract Clubs and individual donors at the dedication of the Rotary Center for Student Leadership in the Lawrence A. Bertolini Student Center on March 4. Creating
a lasting partnership between Rotary, SRJC and its students, the Center provides an environ- ment that will engage students in a variety of learning experi- ences to expand their knowl- edge and abilities in leadership and service.
Students will learn the princi- ples of civic responsibility, re- spect, justice, and integrity, and student leaders will apply what they have learned to their work
in the community. Participat- ing Rotary Clubs contributed the majority of the $100,000 in funding for the Center’s en- dowment, which will be used to provide student leadership programs at SRJC. The effort will also
forge
a new relationship between Rotarians and students with ongoing workshops, training programs, and mentoring op- portunities.
