installs Mercedes Challenge SUBMITTED BY: TONY PEREZ, HIGHEND CAR STEREO, PHILADELPHIA
A customer came in wanting something simple and sporty for her new Mercedes 500SL convert- ible. The challenge was that the body couldn’t be touched. So the installers turned their attention to the factory wheels, chrome-dipping them for added bling. Tey then worked on the exterior lighting, installing Oracle Halos with two color-changing options (blue and white). A chrome custom grill was added with posterior LED strips that change color (to blue and white). An LED under-car kit was also added.
Mercedes-lit emblems now

JL JX360/4 and a JX360/2 were built into a false floor behind the seats. On the audio side, the installers added an Alpine INE-S920HD head unit Navigation, Bluetooth and an Al- pine HCE-104 back-up camera. Four Type S SPS-610 6 1/2 coaxials with an Alpine KTP-445U 4X50 watt amp were used to power the speakers.
