DEAR FELLOW ADVENTURERS

DO YOU EITHER RESOLUTELY stick to an old habit or just don’t know how to break out of it? Yep, that’s me too. I’ve often looked at other people who seem to be able to control their little monkey minds and thought maybe they had some secret that I was not privy to. Who can tell? Maybe they thought the same about me … maybe it comes with the mortal package, and maybe it’s the gift of God (the Universe if you prefer) to get us going around and around like ants, ever so busy, carrying more than our own weight – in angst if not in kilos – and not doing much more than feeding ourselves and our families. Hmmm… that would be a mean

Universe to do that to us wouldn’t it? No – not at all – because the gift is waiting for us to find it. All we have to do is ask. Yes, you and I have both asked many

times but, from my experience, we’ve been asking the wrong thing my friend. Here’s my story. I don’t usually share names because of the fear of crossing the line into promotion but I wish to acknowledge a few people here with gratitude. In common they all have enormous hearts. A few months ago I met an extremely

powerful and spiritual healer called Simona Vasi (you can see her ad on p.29 of the VIC issue in print or online). She not only gave me powerful healings but she introduced me to the teachings of Gary Douglas who started Access Consciousness. He teaches to always be ‘in the question’. So instead of running my usual negative tape of not having enough time or money, I was able to ask questions like, “How does it get better than this?”, “What else is possible?”, “What energy, space and consciousness can I be today to … (finish this task, create more money, attract more happiness, invite more love – whatever you’d like) right away?” Questioning stopped the monkey mind

from nailing me into doing the same thing over and over again, and I believe it was at the beginning of my introduction to many new people over the ensuing months, starting with my wonderful lover, but I’m sure you’ll understand that I won’t mention his name. ;) Then I finally managed to convince

Julian Noel to write for me. We’ve known each other for years and I’d tried to tell him he is the writer I want to be when I grow up, but for both our reasons the time was not right. You may have seen his articles in LivingNow over the past couple of months. I hope you love them like I do – see p.12. He runs an organisation called Shine – in Sydney only at the moment – but branching out

into Melbourne early in the new year, and then gradually the other states will put up their hands too I’m sure. Julian was instrumental in introducing me to the following characters in my story. Julio De Laffitte – larger than life, with

boundless verve and passion for his work, which revolves around making money for people like you and me – and he’s also a very spiritual man! Indeed, that’s part of his message – that money and spirit are the same on a different vibration. Read about him on p.41.

Flower Essences – all, along with Simona Vasi, creating a base for the meetings of the above beautiful men. Wow! That’s interesting – these foundational people are all women, even the creator of the essences, Dr Natalia Schotte – and they sort of birthed me into meeting these men. Now my friends, why am I chortling

on about all this so much – me, me, me!? Because I believe I’ve been put in this position of being a mouthpiece for many others, and I had to experience many woes and worries so that I could earn my stripes. Stella Woods, our astrology writer, told me the other day that I have four planets in my 12th house. That might be gobbledegook to you – it is to me. However, apparently it means that I tap into the collective consciousness – and serve humanity. Well, I reckon the best way I can serve you now is to let you know that there are practical, grounded things that you may need to do so that you can better serve yourself and then your family, friends and clients. That’s why I am introducing you to

Dan Hollings – he’s a genuine, generous

and beautiful man who was responsible for the marketing success of The Secret. He is an internet marketing genius. So LivingNow and Shine are putting on some webinars (see p.27) so that you can meet him and find out for yourself how he can help you market yourself for zero cost. Robert Kirby – another beautiful

man and a gifted giant in his field of transpersonal healing – read about him on p.39 in all editions, plus more on p.29 of the NSW edition. Robert’s work is transformational – not just for me but for apparently thousands of people who’ve had the honour of working with him over the years. For me the bottom line was that somehow Robert’s work allowed me to see that I was holding my fears in more prominence than Spirit – and moreover to reverse that! Over the years I’ve had hundreds of

authors and thousands of advertisers who have said or done something that made a difference to my life – thank you all. My particular thanks go to Nandita Jackson, Jonine Lee Gabay, Carmel Bell, Bat Sheva Dor and La Vie de La Rose

people who can help you with your money and your marketing. I have not lost the plot – LivingNow has always been about giving options to inspire, nurture, inform and empower you for a better life. Go for it! Let’s all get strong and do a power of good in this world – speaking of which, please read the articles on pages 20 and 23 and then go and do something about it by writing to politicians and telling all your friends – needs to be done by mid December. We must stand up for what is right. I

lost my friends – and head – because of this in a past life, and I don’t intend to do that this time. Please help by voting against this loss of freedom of speech. If this gets passed through government, I won’t be able to write the way I do or publish the ads I do. You won’t be able to give advice to another person unless you are a medical doctor. So let’s stand together against this.

With love

Elizabeth Jewell Stephens

P.S. In telling you about the people with whom I’ve had transformational experiences I acknowledge of course that there are other brilliant people doing amazing work – that’s what this magazine is all about after all. Horses for courses!
