Kendall & Mac | REAL WEDDINGS
Ceremony: For the backdrop we antiqued screen doors and added decorative shelf holders to add a bit of decoration. Lisa, owner of the venue, let us use a table from the inside the house to hold an old family bible wrapped in lace and burlap, flowers and pictures of our parents and grandparents weddings. We stood on an old rug we found for $30. We made the burlap bows as place holders for family seating.
Boutonniere: We collected vintage pins and fastened them with burlap and feather from quails that my grandfather raises.
Favors: At the entrance of the reception each guest picked up a mason jar with a heart tag as their favor and glass to drink out of for the night. We left markers out for them to write their name on the wooden heart tags.
Snack and Dessert table: We had a small snack table for guests to enjoy while we took pictures. We filled it with trail mix, pretzels and M&Ms we bought at Sams Club. We found the baskets at Hobby Lobby for half off and made the cones out of butcher paper. The popcorn machine was borrowed from our church at no charge. Though our cake was professionally made, we asked a few family and close friends to bring something for the desert table. It was FULL and a huge hit! People were happy to be a part and contribute. My grandmother, as a surprise to us, handmade the cake topper from wooden clothes pins, complete with our pups! It was beautiful.
Flowers: The florist is also a close family friend. She pre-arranged the centerpieces and galvanized buckets we hung on shepherd hooks at the beginning of the aisle, but the rest of the flowers were sent over in bundles and my aunt hand arranged all of the extra jars you can find around the ceremony and reception.
