The Revell stand in Hall 12.2 showcases all its ranges for the toy market, while the Hobbico stand in Hall 7A specialises in the fast- growing hobby RC sector. The Revellutions Dust Rider has been voted number three in the


Top Ten Toys of 2012, awarded by the German Association of Toy and Game Retailers (BVS). The UK launch of the Revellutions RC brand in 2013 will be backed by heavyweight marketing. Revellutions is a range of 1:14 or 1:18 RC cars for 8-12-year-old


boys, including buggies, monster trucks and muscle cars. All models have 2.4 GHz technology and are dust- and water-resistant. The pistol grip RC controller can be converted for left- or right-handed driving; kids can play against each other in a driving game via a Revellutions website. New for the Revell Control brand in 2013 includes the 2.4 GHz, 4-channel Quadrocopter; infra-red, credit card-sized Mini Helicopters; the Cager Helicopter; 2.4 GHz Glow in the Dark Micro Helicopters; and the Florida-style Swamp Boat used in the Everglades, the GatorSkater. New high-end RC models will be unveiled by Hobbico. The beginners range features Star Wars Easykits, as well as rarely seen model kits from the Battlestar Galactica series 2003-2010. The space theme is extended with Star Trek model kits and the Space Ship Two & Carrier White Knight Two from Virgin Galactic. For experienced modellers, air, sea and land kit releases include the newly-tooled 1:32 Royal Navy Westland Lynx helicopter; the 1:144 Boeing 747 with new tooling; the 1:32 Bae Hawk T.1 RAF; the 1:72 US Navy Skipjack nuclear submarine; and the 1:25 Dodge Viper SRT. Revell’s award-winning airbrushing system for children aged eight years plus, Orbis, will also appear at Nuremberg.

Each Marionette is individually


carded with a Euro hook and poly bagged, making them easy to display and suitable for 36 months and above. Watch out for more styles later in the year.

Sakar will focus on strong design and features that are attractive and give the product a longer life with the user. Noteworthy items include: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-shaped earbuds; Batman Walkie Talkies, which feature a push-to- talk button and built-in Morse code option; Hello Kitty ‘bling’ headphones; and a variety of other co-branded speakers, docks, headphones and earbuds. Sakar will offer new karaoke equipment available in a variety of licences, including Hello Kitty and Monster High.

Ravensburger will be exhibiting new items and licences across all major categories, including children’s jigsaw puzzles and games, craft items including Aquarelle and Mandala, adult puzzles including Augmented Reality, and 3D puzzles. Ravensburger will be launching the latest additions to its UK range at the Olympia Toy Fair in January and at Spring Fair in February.
