special mind-body workshop, The Open Self. Led by Nyack-based hypnotherapist, author and educator, Rachel Astarte Pic- cione, participants are invited to dis- cover and celebrate their true selves through guided meditation, journal- writing, and deep discussion. During the workshop, those in

attendance will learn how to re- move obstacles keeping them from their Self; honor their individuality; learn how to call upon Self energy for mental and physical healing;
open themselves to life’s adventures; and use writing as a tool to remain in deep communion with themselves. “We owe it to each other as living beings and to the
creative power of Source to go out into the world, shining the light of our true selves so that others can benefit and perhaps seek to reconnect with their own light,” says Piccione. “The Open Self is the process and practice of figuring out who that unique Self is and celebrating him or her every day.” Rachel Astarte Piccione teaches weekly sessions of The Open Self at Birchwood Center.
