Bixby & Co. Joins Youthtrade for Whole Foods Market Initiative K

of thirty entrepreneurs selected to participate in a day-long YouthTrade summit. YouthTrade is an opportunity for entrepre-
neurs under 35 to sell their mission driven products. Also in attendance will be luminaries such as John Mackey, founder and Co-CEO of Whole Foods Market; and Rai Sisodia, chair- man of Conscious Capitalism Institute. McAleer start producing her ‘Bixby Bar’ this past De-
cember and has experienced exciting growth of her socially responsible business. As McAleer shares, “Bixby & Co. is inspired by a time in history a century ago when food was natural and pure. We are committed to creating nutritious and natural chocolate products. Each bar is a unique equa- tion of premium organic chocolate, fruits, nuts and spice. All ingredients are natural or organic, gluten-free, pre- servative-free and free of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).” Addition- ally, the products are certified by YouthTrade, RAC (Rainforest Alliance) and FSC (Forest Stew- ardship Council), using paper and soy inks for labels and biodegradable and compostable boxes for packaging. Bixby Bars are featured in several health food and spe-
cialty shops in New York, New Jersey, New England, and Vir- ginia. As of May 21, as part of the YouthTrade initiative, Bixby Bars will be featured in all 28 stores in the North Atlantic region of Whole Foods Market.
