RIVIERA POOL SUITS THE ‘QUICK FIT’ DEMANDS

When a client makes a decision to buy a pool, especially in the spring, then they tend to want action and have the pool in operation quickly.

This was the scenario faced by East Sussex pool company Giles Leisure when they recommended a Riviera one-piece pool to a Brighton family.

The Riviera one-piece pool has always been the market leader in one-piece pools and the addition of two new recent models should enhance that status. The aptly named Linear features a full width step section allowing entry to the pool from one end whilst the ultra smart Kara features side entry steps. Optional extras include the addition of source pools and water channels connecting them to the main pool in the form of a waterfall. Riviera has introduced the infinity edge system allowing straight sides to be removed and the overflow effect of an infinity pool to be added.

EASILY INSTALLED MONOBLOCK ARRIVES DIRECT FROM FACTORY

The Starline Monoblock one-piece pool comes with the option of a fully integrated Roldeck automatic pool cover which is hidden below the pool surround. This does away with the need for access to the cover pit allowing the pool surround and copings to run right up to the edge of the pool. Arriving on site direct from the factory in Holland, the Starline Monoblock pools have a fully insulated double skin pool shell and are supplied with the pool flow fittings and lights pre-installed and pre-plumbed to the customer’s individual specification.

Having considered difficult access problems Starline’s delivery vehicles allow for the front cab to detach from the low loader and become a much more manoeuvrable independent mobile crane type vehicle, taking the pool right to the excavation and placing the pool directly onto the concrete base. Available in five colours, options also include an in-roller or external motor, solar or translucent

slats, child safety lock, counter-current swim units and a wide range of copings that overlap the edge of the pool to offer a very neat finish. “The increasing consumer awareness of the high end one-piece pool such as the Starline Monoblock is reflecting in our increased sales as they not only offer the pool owner a pool of the highest quality with the high specification they demand,” says Director Darren Brown, “but with the advantages of a quick and easier installation. “The economy is tough there’s no doubt about that but there’s also opportunities from people who are looking to put aside ideas of moving home for a while and who want a high quality immediate pool without fuss but with quality and with guarantees.”

SUNDANCE POOLS SEE GROWTH IN THE UK MARKET

Jeremy West started Sundance Pools UK 14 years ago and has seen the specialist market slowly becoming more comfortable with the option of fibreglass pools.

“From an engineering point of view, fibreglass makes a lot of sense, not least for the ease of installation but also from the point of view of the longevity of the product.”

Sundance Pools uses only superior resins and a unique ‘coremat’ sandwich construction which adds 40% to the strength.

“Throughout every stage of production each pool is subject to stringent quality control in a climatically regulated environment. The ‘Isophthalic’ gelcoat is applied by hand ensuring the luxurious, smooth finish which is the hallmark of all Sundance pools.”

Alex Howell from Giles Leisure visited the Riviera factory in Germany to have a closer look at the one-piece pool models. There are 27 different models and each comes with the option of a FunPak which includes two strong massage jets for the back; one master jet for soft massage; one counter-current system for the shoulders and neck, two strong counter- swimming jets for active swimming and a geyser – a fountain for the feet, legs and entire body.

Alex wanted his builders to look in more detail at the installation process so Certikin took Alex’s three builders to Germany where they gained the knowledge they needed, and reduced the time they had allocated to do the job by one week. Alex says: “I feel enthusiastic about the product so it becomes easy to convince the customer he is making the right choice. “Other features I like about the Riviera include the unique cover which fully protects the pool surface and keeps out dirt. When opened, the cover disappears in a special housing where it stays in filtered water and is disinfected, dirt is sucked and drained away and cannot contaminate the pool. Whenever the cover is activated there is a fully automatic cleaning/spraying system to keep the cover clean. The surface is sprayed and larger dirt particles are washed away into the skim filter.”
