Inland Waters Pollution Con- trol (IWPC), a leading provider of underground rehabilita- tion solutions, will host a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway on Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., (or as turkeys last). James Tighe, president of IWPC, made the announce- ment.
“As a Detroit-based busi-
ness and part of the local community, we feel privileged to have the opportunity to give back during the time of Thanksgiving and show our appreciation to the people of Detroit,” said Tighe.
In honor of the Thanksgiv-
ing holiday, IWPC will host the event at its headquarters, located at 4086 Michigan Ave. at Clark St.. The event is open to Detroit residents 18 years or older. The company will distribute 750 turkeys, one to each individual able to present a valid form of identification to prove Detroit residency. Any turkeys remaining after the event ends at 1 p.m., will be donated to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.

spent their whole lives in this community and it feels great to have the opportunity to give something back.”

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) has been
granted a three-year/full accreditation designa- tion by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program adminis- tered by the American College of Surgeons.
Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to
those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance.

The hospital’s Breast Imaging Center was one of the first in Michigan recognized by the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
