CLIVeDeN ROCKS IS HOT, THANKS TO FROST!
Cliveden Rocked as chart toppers were heard across the Buckinghamshire estate by thousands of visitors enjoying the open air concert and picnics. Organised by the National Trust and
sponsored by The Frost Partnership Cliveden Rocks has been held in the paddocks for four years and this year’s good weather and hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s brought in the crowds. Frost’s director Lynne Eckhoff-Thomas, said,
“Cliveden Rocks has become a major
event in the local calendar and we were delighted with the number of tickets sold. The concert weekend has grown each year and its success comes from the appeal it has for all ages.” The Frost Partnership hopes that the
funds raised by the Cliveden Rocks concert will help towards vital and overdue conservation and restoration work at the property.

LINLeY & SImpSON RuNNING
Six colleagues from Linley & Simpson are in the pink after raising £750 by joining Cancer Research UK’s ‘Race for Life’. The team successfully completed the 5k run around Huddersfield. Accounts manager Lynne Taylor
said, “I took part in memory of my three close friends lost to cancer all under 45, who left behind children and partners. “Some were spurred on for similar
reasons, while others knew people who had cancer but had beaten it. The aim was to raise as much money and awareness as possible.”
Cambridge letting agency Accent Property held its annual garden party at Peterhouse. Part of Chard Robinson Group,
Accent Property pitched in with fellow group companies Encore Estate Management and Baulogic to host a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, complete with the Cheshire Cat and a living statue of the Mad Hatter. 200 guests were treated to cupcakes and strawberries, while a charity croquet game raised £200 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice. Directors Stephen Chard and Neil
Robinson said, “Many thanks to everyone who attended; the event is an excellent opportunity to meet our clients and say ‘thank you’ in person to our clients for their support.”
PROPERTYdrum SEPTEMBER 2010 47 SKYDIVING FOR SHOOTING STAR
15 members of staff from Badger Holdings took to Weston Airfield near Bicester, Oxfordshire to take part in a skydive in aid of the company’s chosen charity, The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, raising in excess of £3,000. Volunteers were harnessed to a
professional as they fell through the air for over a mile travelling at 120mph and then continued to parachute a further mile until they reached the ground. After a 20 minute preparation talk the jumpers waited for their turn to board the plane and climb 13,000 feet before facing their nerves and stepping out. Janet Tully, Group HR Director at
Badger Holdings says, “The day was a great success and all those that jumped loved the experience with many wanting to jump again, including one employee who was petrified of heights. Events such as these give staff the chance to come together outside of work and do things they might otherwise never get the opportunity to do at the same time as raising money for a truly worthy cause.”
